A group portrait is by far the most challenging undertaking for the portrait artist. These shoots are often like film productions. They are beehives of activity crackling with super charged energy. Harnessing that unique energy requires special skills. The group dynamic can easily overpower any individual intention especially when the group is comprised of strong personas. It surprises me how I can become a juggernaut of determination in these types of situations. The Ladies of the Canyon did not come with an entourage or super-sized egos. Working with these artists was a real treat. There was an easy and authentic sense of friendship between them.
