An ongoing curation of my personal archives to find two consecutive images from a roll of 35mm film that share a relationship between the frames. The pairing is pure happenstance and points to the unconscious mind that continually reveals itself through continuity and juxtaposition. Distanced from the experience by time, the mind seems less dominated by the emotional energy of the experience and is able to find a new meaning in the random pairings. The title is also meant to reference the act of editing film on a timeline which considers deeply the transitional points between two frames and is evident in this series by the inclusion of the rebate as it occurs on the film. This is where the unconscious mind is first perceived.
